It is no secret – we love data. And even more than that, visualization of said data. A great site by Unacasttaking mobility data (based on cell phone location) and looking at the changes over time. In talking with Unacast (we’re looking to get the data set for explorations in the TNL), turns out their framing of “grades” got them blowback from certain states. People don’t like being judged – but this is another example of narrative and how you present the data. Everything from color schemes to font choices influence the reader’s impression.
